Scripture text and companions
The Gurmukhi text is derived from the Shabad OS iOS source at commit e53ed58d5bad4c993a7e9035e57e6de7ef16e83f. Roman pronunciation and English companion data come from the Shabad OS database, version 4.8.7. The English translation credits in the app include Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa for Guru Granth Sahib passages and Dr. Surinder Singh Kohli for Dasam passages. Rehras Sahib includes passages from both traditions.
Some source records do not include a displayed meaning; Gutka Duo intentionally leaves those passages without a generated substitute.
Benti Chaupai Sahib includes the closing Savaiyya and Dohra, using the source passages also included in Rehras Sahib.
Daily Hukamnama
The Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar reading comes from GurbaniNow, with its published date, Gurmukhi text, Roman transliteration, and English meaning. This daily source is separate from the bundled Bani edition.
Type
Gutka Duo uses Sant Lipi for Gurmukhi and Source Sans 3 for English. Their respective licenses and attributions are included with the app.
This website also uses Sant Lipi, by Shabad OS, under the SIL Open Font License. The reader preview uses passages from the same app corpus, with English meaning credited to Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa.

If you spot a text, attribution, or layout issue, please send feedback with the bani and a clear description. We welcome careful corrections.
The website’s Duo preview
The hardware model originates from Apple’s iPhone Duo presentation. Its preparation and screen transition draw on Justin Levine’s open-source study (MIT license). The preview uses Three.js and meshoptimizer. Apple’s model and trademarks remain Apple’s property; their inclusion does not imply endorsement. App screens are illustrated in code.
